Senior Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Drive the evolution of frontend architecture within Roof’s systems.

• Collaborate in a dynamic, cross-functional team that prioritizes doing things correctly.

• Contribute to an early-stage company that emphasizes an engineering-first culture.

• Engage in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, from planning through to delivery.

• Work together with cross-functional team members to define technical requirements.

• Produce clean code to create functional web applications and reusable libraries.

• Develop unit, functional, and acceptance tests.

• Diagnose and support production applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in a Senior Engineering role.

• More than 5 years of software development experience.

• Advocate for agile methodologies, with a passion for frequently and confidently shipping code.

• Proven ability to decompose complex problems into incremental solutions.

• Actively suggests initiatives to enhance our engineering technologies and culture.

• Thrives in a collaborative environment where team members support each other's growth.

• Takes responsibility for the product and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.

• Possesses excellent communication skills and values the importance of thorough documentation.

• Understands the unique challenges associated with the priorities of an early-stage company.

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and experience with the React + Redux framework.

• Familiarity with SCSS.

• Experience working with RESTful APIs.

• Skilled in building frontend testing and automation systems for unit tests, integration tests, regression tests, and user acceptance tests.
