Senior Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop production-quality React applications utilizing TypeScript.

• Create and sustain a shared library of components.

• Design engaging interfaces for structured engineering data, encompassing requirements traceability, phase/gate tracking, dependency graphs, task boards, and version-controlled project plans.

• Construct interfaces for AI agent interactions, featuring streaming chat, proactive coordination alerts, and AI-generated status summaries and deliverables.

• Implement dashboards at the portfolio level that display cross-project costs, schedules, and risks.

• Write thoroughly tested code, including unit and end-to-end tests.

• Collaborate with backend engineers on API integration and client SDK utilization.

• Participate in frontend architectural decisions, code reviews, and the promotion of engineering best practices.

• Work closely with the engineering team and the head of product to enhance the user experience of Reflow, an AI-driven platform for hardware product development.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years experience in building production web applications, with at least 3 years concentrated on React.

• Proven expertise in utilizing AI coding tools such as Cursor, Copilot, or Claude.

• Advanced knowledge of React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.

• Significant experience with component-driven development, design systems, and tools like Storybook.

• Proficient in CSS frameworks, preferably Tailwind CSS, and adept in responsive design.

• Familiarity with contemporary build tools such as Vite or esbuild.

• Understanding of API integration patterns, including REST, OpenAPI, and generated clients.

• Capability to balance rapid iteration with maintainable, well-tested code.

• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident/current Green Card holder, or a lawfully admitted refugee or individual granted asylum in the U.S.

• Knowledge of hardware development, engineering workflows, or project management processes is highly desirable.

• Experience in developing UIs for AI/LLM-powered features is highly valuable.

• Familiarity with headless component libraries such as Base UI, Radix, or Headless UI is highly valuable.

• Background in data visualization or applications with heavy dashboard usage is highly valuable.

• Understanding of OIDC and JWT authentication/authorization patterns is highly valuable.

• Experience with Playwright or Cypress is highly valuable.

• Background in B2B SaaS platforms, project management tools, or technical collaboration products is highly valuable.
