Senior Frontend Developer, SvelteKit

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design and create a new web frontend from the ground up using SvelteKit and Tailwind CSS

• Establish rendering strategies encompassing SSR, SSG, ISR, and edge

• Achieve and maintain performance benchmarks

• Develop a reusable component library and implement a design system in Svelte

• Take ownership of SEO essentials: semantic HTML, metadata, structured data, sitemap, and canonicalization

• Implement and uphold testing standards

• Set up frontend tooling and enhance developer experience (DX)

• Lead code reviews and elevate the quality of the frontend

• Facilitate technical planning, architectural decision records (ADRs), and architecture discussions

• Integrate with backend APIs and assist in designing API contracts

• Support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines on AWS

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant production experience with Svelte and SvelteKit

• Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript

• Extensive experience with Tailwind CSS

• Strong skills in HTML5, CSS3, accessibility, and responsive design

• Proven history of building high-performance web applications

• Experience in designing scalable frontend architectures from scratch

• Background in creating and maintaining reusable component libraries

• Familiarity with state management patterns in Svelte

• Proficient in using Vitest for unit testing

• Knowledge of Playwright for end-to-end testing

• Strong understanding of Git and GitHub workflows

• Experience in performance monitoring and optimization

• Practical experience in implementing agentic development workflows
