This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Spearhead the development of a Shared Design Library incorporating reusable React components, design tokens (colors, typography, spacing), and UX patterns utilized across various applications.
• Establish the core principles of the library, including naming conventions, versioning strategies, theming, accessibility standards (WCAG), and contribution guidelines.
• Create and oversee component documentation (Storybook, MDX) featuring usage instructions and live examples.
• Implement governance for the proposal, review, deprecation, and evolution of components in collaboration with UI/UX Designers and QA.
• Define and execute a testing framework/strategy encompassing component unit tests, visual regression, accessibility evaluations, and integration testing.
• Work alongside Product Designers to convert guidelines into tokenized, testable components, ensuring uniformity across applications.
• Integrate the library into CI/CD pipelines with automated builds, tests, visual regression assessments, and versioned releases.
• Produce clean, maintainable, and scalable code using TypeScript and React, crafting responsive, reliable, and secure web applications.
• Take ownership of feature development from conception to deployment, closely aligning with product, design, backend, QA, and BA teams.
• Review code, question assumptions, and strive to elevate the technical standards across the team.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote team development through technical advice.
• Contribute to shaping frontend architecture and making long-term decisions (modularity, patterns, performance).
• Over 5 years of professional experience in frontend development, with proficiency in TypeScript, modern JavaScript, and the React ecosystem (hooks, context, modular design).
• Background in designing or contributing to a design system or shared component library (tokens, theming, accessibility, documentation).
• Comprehensive understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, web security, performance, and accessibility best practices.
• Experience in designing or contributing to scalable frontend architectures.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative CI/CD environment with agile methodologies and rapid feedback loops.
• Skilled in Git, npm/yarn, and contemporary frontend tools.
• Strong communication abilities, appreciating direct feedback and open dialogue.
