Senior Front-end Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Oversee the frontend architecture and outline the processes for building, testing, and deploying features.

• Make critical technical choices regarding performance, rendering techniques, and API integration.

• Create reusable patterns for components, state management, forms, and authentication processes.

• Supervise and troubleshoot production systems to maintain reliability and security.

• Guide engineers through mentorship and perform code reviews.

• Work collaboratively with backend, security, DevOps, QA, and product teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in front-end engineering.

• Extensive production experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript, particularly in rendering strategies (SSR, SSG) and routing.

• Strong understanding of REST API integration, server-state management, and frontend performance enhancement.

• Proven experience in defining testing strategies and assessing test quality.

• Knowledge of authentication processes (JWT, Azure) and secure development methodologies.

• Practical experience with cloud monitoring tools (Azure, AWS).

• Capability to make technical decisions and mentor fellow engineers.

• Proficiency in English.

• Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience in banking, fintech, or similarly regulated sectors.

• Familiarity with enterprise design systems, accessibility standards, or OWASP security guidelines.

• Knowledge of CI/CD, micro-frontends, or compliance considerations in financial systems.

• Proficiency in Portuguese.
