This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Designs, develops, and maintains responsive and accessible front-end applications utilizing Angular, with a strong preference for candidates with React experience.
• Constructs and upholds reusable, thoroughly tested UI components and design-system elements following modern Angular patterns, including Signals.
• Creates interactive editing experiences based on canvas for the Yearbook design platform (e.g., drag-and-drop layout, image manipulation); familiarity with FabricJS is a considerable asset.
• Applies styling and responsive layouts through Tailwind CSS and contemporary CSS methodologies.
• Works in collaboration with backend engineers to integrate UI components with RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Implements client-side state management and data-flow patterns (e.g., RxJS, NgRx, or Angular Signals) for sophisticated, interactive user interfaces.
• Develops and maintains automated front-end tests (unit, component, and end-to-end) to guarantee UI quality and prevent regressions.
• Establishes accessible (WCAG-compliant) UI patterns, cooperating with QA and product teams on accessibility validation.
• Enhances front-end performance for rendering-heavy, canvas-based applications.
• Engages in code reviews and provides mentorship to junior front-end engineers.
• Diagnoses production UI issues and implements solutions.
• Continuously enhances front-end development processes, tools, and infrastructure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• A minimum of 6 years of professional front-end software development experience.
• Familiarity with backend or full-stack development technologies, including Java.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Angular (current versions), including Angular Signals.
• Proficient in TypeScript, RxJS, and modern component-based architecture.
• Experience with state management approaches such as NgRx, RxJS, or signals-based state.
• Proficient in building and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating with backend services.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Jasmine/Karma, Jest, Cypress, or Playwright).
• Working knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and constructing accessible, ARIA-compliant UIs.
• Experience optimizing front-end performance, particularly for rendering-intensive or canvas-based interfaces.
• Familiarity with component-driven development tools (e.g., Storybook).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
