This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Actively assess data to uncover trends and provide impactful recommendations that align with business objectives.
• Conduct thorough investigations into potential fraudulent activities at both the account and transaction levels, ensuring clear documentation of findings and taking necessary actions.
• Review transaction monitoring and account-level reporting, including researching possible linked accounts or users that may pose similar fraud risks.
• Identify and compile trends to facilitate adjustments to detection models or rules, enhancing operational efficiency. Summarize and document findings with actionable insights for data scientists and engineering teams.
• Serve as the primary contact for internal and external risk inquiries, supporting both customer and merchant support teams. Modify risk settings for accounts and users in accordance with policy guidelines.
• Document policies and procedures related to risk management processes and systems. Propose innovative ideas for the continuous enhancement of systems, processes, and procedures to improve the company's overall risk management.
• Create and sustain reporting on risk metrics and key performance indicators, collaborating with the analytics team to develop data visualizations and reporting for the risk team.
• Experience in fraud/risk within the financial services sector, ideally with exposure to payments or remittances.
• Knowledge of fraud concepts such as account takeover, stolen financials, friendly fraud, and identity theft.
• Strong investigative skills and ability to recognize patterns.
• Comprehension of the implications risk decisions can have on valued customers, with a capability to adopt a balanced approach to risk mitigation.
• Intermediate to advanced SQL proficiency.
• Experience in developing playbooks and policy documentation for operational processes.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office or GSuite, particularly in GSheets/Excel.
