This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Create data-driven insights that enhance fraud prevention, detection, and rule management for digital banking and money transfer products.
• Keep track of emerging fraud risks, assess the effectiveness of rules, and devise targeted improvements that bolster fraud mitigation while ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Collaborate closely with fraud operations, technology, and risk teams to analyze performance trends, investigate irregularities, and communicate analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations that facilitate effective fraud risk management and decision-making across critical areas such as First Party Fraud, Third Party Fraud, Account Takeover, Scam, and ID Theft scenarios.
• Evaluate the performance of fraud rules, alert outcomes, and loss trends across digital channels to determine effectiveness, thresholds, customer impact, and identify opportunities for enhancements.
• Utilize extensive, complex datasets to detect emerging fraud patterns and shifts in performance that guide rule development and refinement.
• Perform root-cause analysis on fraud incidents, performance fluctuations, and anomalies to guide rule enhancements and control improvements.
• Work in partnership with fraud operations, technology, and risk teams to validate findings, support rule modifications, and ensure compliance with governance standards.
• Convert analytical findings into clear, concise summaries to aid management reviews and stakeholder discussions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or another quantitative field; a Master's degree is advantageous.
• Experience with SAS, SQL, or Python.
• Proficient in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications and data analysis software.
• Familiarity with financial services products, systems, and data, preferably within the fraud sector, including online banking and digital payments.
• Experience in analyzing fraud performance data, alerts, or rule-based controls.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
• Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills, with the capability to convey analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Adaptability in daily tasks, capacity to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities in a rapidly changing environment, and resilience in the face of ambiguity.
• Capability to work independently and deliver high-quality analysis in a remote setting while collaborating effectively within a team.
• Ability to foster strong cross-functional relationships and contribute to stakeholder discussions at various organizational levels through clear, data-driven insights.
