Senior Forward Deployed Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical lead accountable for the architecture, implementation of pipelines, and overall quality of Army Vantage dashboards and data workflows.

• Collaborate directly with government stakeholders and engineering teams to provide operational analytics capabilities that facilitate force management and readiness decisions.

• Take full ownership of complex implementation tasks from design through to production.

• Guide junior engineers and ensure that sprint deliverables comply with operational standards.

• Design, implement, and sustain CI/CD pipelines.

• Develop and refine front-end analytical dashboards utilizing Foundry’s Workshop/Slate application layer.

• Establish and enforce automated quality gates, validation suites, and release confidence checks.

• Set up observability tools, including monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.

• Engage in agile sprint cycles, encompassing planning, standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Showcase functional capabilities to government stakeholders.

• Align integration patterns, data access controls, and release procedures with platform specifications.

• Produce thorough technical documentation, configuration baselines, and operational runbooks.

• Offer defect resolution, troubleshooting, and incremental enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive expertise in Palantir Foundry, encompassing pipelines, Workshop/Slate, Ontology configuration, and AIP.

• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering or systems integration.

• Proven experience in delivering CI/CD pipelines and analytics platforms in classified or DoD environments.

• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or Java within Foundry development workflows.

• Familiarity with Army Vantage, GFIM, force management, or readiness data domains.

• Capability to oversee the complete feature lifecycle: architecture → build → test → deployment.
