Senior Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Provide support for financial analytics and act as a business partner to operational leadership.

• Collaborate with leaders on budgeting, forecasting, business initiatives, and ongoing performance management.

• Convey complex financial topics while offering education and training to business operators.

• Develop and oversee the budget process, encompassing volumes, revenue, staffing, and expenses.

• Analyze monthly variances between targets and actuals, partnering with leadership on improvement strategies.

• Recommend monthly expense accruals.

• Communicate financial trends that support forecasting, budgeting, and monthly variance analysis.

• Utilize analytical tools to pinpoint improvement opportunities and share recommendations.

• Comprehend revenue cycle trends and changes while collaborating with internal subject matter experts.

• Assist with complex ad hoc analyses related to staffing changes, new services or technology, new providers, and drug and supply expense management.

• Act as the financial liaison for JV and PSA arrangements, which include budgets and monthly financial analytics.

• Collaborate with leadership on business plans for capital and program expansion.

• Work alongside vendors and business partners to design technology applications for forecasting, cost accounting, and productivity.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.

• 5 to 7 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a finance-related field, specifically in a healthcare setting.

• Master's degree is preferred.

• Ability to support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance management.

• Capability to analyze revenue cycle trends and financial data.

• Experience with staffing, revenue, expense, capital, and program expansion analysis.

• Proficient in performing complex ad hoc financial analyses.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with operational leaders, vendors, and business partners.

• Sedentary physical requirements: occasionally lifting up to 10 lbs. and frequently managing negligible weight.
