This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Independently monitor and manage vulnerabilities across platforms such as Tenable, Wiz, Defender for Cloud, and others.
• Lead the evaluation of reported vulnerabilities, triage them, and categorize them by risk along with other mitigating control factors.
• Establish a strategic prioritization schedule for remediation and collaborate with patching teams to ensure timely implementation.
• Demonstrate proficiency with ticketing tools by raising appropriate patch requests, maintaining a record of pending requests, following up regularly, and tracking them until resolution.
• Oversee risk exception procedures and ensure that tools exclude findings associated with granted risk exceptions.
• Remain updated on vulnerability trends and provide recommendations for enhancing vulnerability management processes.
• Manage CSPM components to secure cloud environments, which includes continuous security assessments, risk prioritization, compliance monitoring, and configuration management.
• Identify and address gaps in scan coverage to ensure thorough vulnerability assessments.
• Create reports and deliver presentations regarding vulnerability assessments and remediation progress.
• Mentor and train junior team members, promoting skill development and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to the overall security strategy and engage with executive leadership to bolster security resilience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex security issues and ensure effective vulnerability management.
• Proven experience with vulnerability management tools and platforms.
• Background in assessing and prioritizing vulnerabilities as well as managing remediation efforts.
• Familiarity with CSPM tools and best practices.
• Strong comprehension of risk management and mitigation strategies.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Experience in cloud security and understanding of cloud service provider ecosystems (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Ability to develop and maintain scripts for automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
