• Collaborate with architecture, engineering, and business stakeholders to define and document the scope, requirements, and acceptance criteria of systems/applications.
• Analyze functional and technical requirements to ensure they are complete, testable, and aligned with business objectives.
• Design, create, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and repositories with minimal supervision.
• Lead the automation strategy, which includes framework design, tooling decisions, and fostering adoption across teams.
• Identify and prioritize opportunities to replace manual testing processes with automated solutions.
• Develop, execute, and maintain both manual and automated test cases for moderately complex, multi-platform applications.
• Ensure adequate test coverage across functional, integration, and regression testing layers.
• Monitor, analyze, and communicate quality metrics, risks, and test results to stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot defects, conduct root cause analysis, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure timely resolutions.
• Provide support for applications, including diagnosing and resolving system and performance issues.
• Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams, effectively communicating feasibility, risks, and project status.
• Mentor junior engineers and advocate for best practices in quality engineering and automation.
• 5 – 7 years of experience in quality engineering, encompassing both manual and automation testing.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, the QA lifecycle, and automation best practices.
• Proven track record in designing and building test automation frameworks and repositories.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with contemporary automation tools, including Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, and REST Assured.
• Experience in integrating automated testing within CI/CD pipelines, such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Capability to operate independently and lead automation initiatives with minimal guidance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Experience in designing, executing, and analyzing automated test scripts and their results.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools is a plus.
• Experience supporting revenue-generating or customer-facing systems is preferred.
