Senior Engineer – Automation Quality

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Contribute significantly to the creation of robust and scalable automation frameworks.

• Take ownership of automation projects for highly intricate assignments.

• Provide mentorship to junior team members.

• Collaborate effectively with various departments.

• Design, develop, and sustain automated test scripts and frameworks.

• Independently create strong and scalable test automation frameworks and scripts.

• Lead the execution of automated test cases and analyze results to pinpoint issues.

• Identify, document, and manage software defects until resolution.

• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Assist in developing automation strategies.

• Facilitate the integration of automated tests into the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.

• Mentor junior test/quality automation engineers and offer technical guidance.

• Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in test automation and implement enhancements.

• Participate in innovative initiatives such as Artificial Intelligence (AI).

• Help establish automation best practices.

• Assist in the preparation of training materials and provide training on automation tools and frameworks.

• Perform manual testing when required.


⛳️ Requirements

• 4-7 years of comprehensive testing experience.

• 2-4 years of experience in automation testing or equivalent training in automation.

• Strong expertise in the Java programming language (Core concepts).

• Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.

• Good experience with test automation tools such as Karate.

• Good experience with test automation tools like Selenium, JUnit, and TestNG.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and building pipelines.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging capabilities.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience in mentoring test automation teams is preferred.
