
Senior Dosimetrist, Proton Therapy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Under the guidance of Radiation Oncologists and general oversight from Medical Physicists, the primary responsibility of the dosimetrist is to initiate and oversee the treatment planning process for external beam proton therapy plans.
• In addition, the medical dosimetrist will occasionally assist in specialized procedures and brachytherapy treatment planning.
• As the program evolves, the dosimetrist will also be responsible for training dosimetrists, physicists, radiation oncologists, and affiliated trainees in dosimetry, while supporting and adhering to the BHSF safety and compliance program, including OSHA, HIPAA, and the Code of Ethics.
• A bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• Certification as a Medical Dosimetrist (MDCB) is required.
• A bachelor's degree in a physical science or Radiation Therapy Technology (RTT) along with graduation from a formal, JRCERT-accredited dosimetry program is necessary.
• A Master's degree in Science is preferred.
• Direct experience in dosimetry and possession of a Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) certification are essential.
• Experience in RTT from an accredited radiation therapy technology program is preferred.
• Familiarity with multiple treatment planning platforms, strong communication skills, and leadership abilities are preferred.
• Minimum required experience: 5 years.
