This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Engages in communication with WM Drivers to support problem resolution during their routes.
• Manages incoming service orders, directs drivers, and addresses service-related issues.
• Collaborates with customers, WM customer service representatives, sales teams, and operational personnel.
• Utilizes WM proprietary software for entering ticket details and monitoring activities.
• Works alongside routing specialists, route managers, and the service department to enhance complex route optimization.
• Assigns drivers to calls as they come in.
• Receives incoming calls from customers and oversees requests for pick-up or container delivery.
• Makes outbound calls to customers.
• Identifies and resolves potential delivery and pick-up issues before they escalate into service problems.
• Records and documents information from Drivers and distributes it to relevant departments.
• Communicates with maintenance shop staff and acts as an emergency point of contact for downed wires and other urgent matters.
• Assigns tasks in the absence of the manager.
• Acts as an escalation point for other Dispatchers within the department.
• Provides training for new Dispatchers.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D (accredited).
• At least 2 years of previous dispatching experience (in addition to educational qualifications).
• Additional or specialized training in transportation, logistics, or a related field; customer service experience in a call-center is preferred.
