Senior Director, Software Engineering

📋 Description

• Provide strategic leadership and technical guidance for Evolent’s software engineering division.

• Oversee modernization initiatives and integrate legacy systems.

• Promote the adoption of scalable and effective solutions.

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across Engineering, Product, and Business teams.

• Cultivate a culture focused on quality, customer-centricity, product orientation, and technical excellence.

• Build a high-performing team that values continuous learning and accountability.

• Work with leadership, product management, and stakeholders to establish the technical vision.

• Lead the modernization of platforms and processes.

• Mentor engineering managers and technical personnel.

• Set clear goals, metrics, and accountability standards for team performance and delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Master’s degree is preferred.

• Over 12 years of experience in software engineering.

• More than 7 years in leadership positions managing large, distributed teams.

• Proven success in delivering complex, enterprise-scale software projects.

• Technical proficiency in Python, Spark, API development, Data Warehousing principles, ETL patterns, and SQL.

• In-depth understanding of cloud services and DevOps methodologies.

• Experience with healthcare data, particularly medical claims, is strongly preferred.
