This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the overarching platform strategy and its implementation, acting as the primary technological facilitator for next-generation, AI-driven services.
• Spearhead the creation of "Steel Threads": fully functional software that addresses specific, high-friction site challenges (e.g., streamlining patient enrollment or site-specific study guidelines).
• Oversee the strategy for acceleration to ensure continuous delivery without added risk, maintaining the Site App's performance and reliability in a highly regulated environment.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Design to refine the product vision.
• Partner with your leads and architects to develop a platform capable of scaling quickly to meet business goals. This position actively engages in the product's architectural design.
• Contribute to the development of a technical roadmap.
• Attract, hire, and retain engineering talent.
• Shape our organizational structure as the engineering team scales rapidly.
• Promote a healthy and collaborative workplace culture that reflects our team values.
• Drive transformative changes across all dimensions (people, processes, and technology) to enable swift product delivery across the organization.
• A minimum of Engineering management experience with a proven history of delivering products on schedule using Agile methodologies.
• Strong understanding and practical experience with SaaS-based engineering principles.
• Experience in remote work is essential, as our engineering team operates with remote-first practices.
• A natural ability to lead your teams while effectively influencing the wider organization. You are the leader that former employees wish to work with again!
• An empathetic approach to leadership is vital.
• While active development is not expected, your background as a former engineer allows you to engage confidently in technical discussions.
