SCADA Developer/Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and set up Ignition Gateway, Vision, and/or Perspective clients for the purposes of process monitoring, control, and visualization.

• Integrate PLCs/RTUs (such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Modicon, or similar) into the Ignition tag structures.

• Configure and troubleshoot Modbus (RTU/TCP), OPC-UA, and Ethernet/IP for seamless device connectivity.

• Develop SQL-backed Tag Historian pipelines for the storage, trending, and reporting of time-series data.

• Create Python/Jython scripts within Ignition to facilitate automation logic, event handling, and custom user interface behavior.

• Set up the Alarm Notification module with defined escalation paths for critical fault conditions.

• Assist with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and the commissioning process during go-live.

• Generate control narratives, P&IDs, network diagrams, and O&M manuals for client transition.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in SCADA development.

• In-depth knowledge of industrial protocols, including Modbus, OPC-UA, and Ethernet/IP.

• Experience with PLC/RTU integration (such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Modicon, or similar).

• Proficiency in SQL for database design, Tag Historian setup, and reporting tasks.

• Skilled in Python/Jython scripting within the Ignition environment.

• Capability to read and produce P&IDs, control narratives, and system architecture diagrams.

• Comfortable managing multiple concurrent client projects in a services/consulting setting.
