Senior Director, Biostatistics

📋 Description

• Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the biostatistics function.

• You will oversee end-to-end clinical data workflows, ensuring a high-quality evaluation of clinical data.

• Your role will involve developing and mentoring biostatistics staff to enhance their effectiveness and scalability.

• You will provide statistical leadership in the creation and assessment of study designs and methodologies.

• Collaborating with clinical operations, data management, and statistical programming teams will be essential for creating efficient clinical databases.

• You will lead and/or manage statistical programming and analysis activities across multiple research studies, employing various statistical models.

• Directing the generation of analysis datasets, data summaries, and statistical reports, primarily using SAS, will be part of your responsibilities.

• You will contribute to the preparation and review of clinical trial deliverables, such as study reports and regulatory documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline is required; a PhD is strongly preferred.

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or academic research environment is required, with substantial experience in supporting clinical drug development; oncology experience is strongly preferred.

• You should have demonstrated expertise in advanced data manipulation and statistical analysis methodologies applied to clinical research.

• Deep expertise in applied statistics, including the design and analysis of complex datasets, such as imaging or other data-intensive clinical endpoints, is essential.

• Proficiency in multiple statistical software platforms is required, including at least two of the following: SAS, R, SPSS, or STATA.

• Strong skills in descriptive analysis and inferential analysis, statistical modeling, study design, and data visualization/graphical outputs are necessary.

• The ability to travel up to 10%, as needed, is required.
