Senior Director, AI Transformation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Transform the marketing AI strategy into a functional production capability.

• Take ownership of the design, construction, version control, and governance of AI skills and agents that drive comprehensive marketing workflows.

• Lead and develop a team of AI engineers while establishing hands-on practices and setting technical benchmarks.

• Translate prioritized AI use cases into quantifiable capabilities within established timelines and quality metrics.

• Manage engineering and data science dependencies, interfaces, sequencing, and accountability.

• Deliver end-to-end workflows from initial brief to finished, channel-ready output.

• Develop reusable compliance checks for legal, privacy, accessibility, and content integrity.

• Set up engineering governance, ownership, versioning, reviews, quality monitoring, cost controls, and autonomous-use guardrails.

• Create portable solutions to avoid platform lock-in.

• Assess pipeline contributions, redeployed hours, time-to-insight, adoption, and quality metrics.

• Collaborate with enterprise engineering, IT, and commercial and revenue operations to integrate marketing AI with broader technology and commercial frameworks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience in architecting and deploying production-level AI applications.

• Familiarity with agentic workflows, skill and context engineering, orchestration, retrieval, and API/tool integrations.

• Strong background in data engineering, analytics engineering, business intelligence, or software engineering.

• Experience with data pipelines, contemporary data platforms and warehouses, scale, quality, and governance.

• Demonstrated ability to build a capability or platform from the ground up and scale it for ongoing use.

• Leadership experience in guiding engineers as a hands-on builder and establishing technical direction.

• Proficiency in delivering results through influence and collaboration across non-directly managed teams.

• Strong judgment regarding quality, risk, and governance in production AI environments.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.

• Experience in marketing, growth, commercial, or go-to-market sectors, or developing tools utilized by these functions.

• Knowledge of marketing automation, CRM, web and content platforms, BI, and data-transformation tools.

• Data science expertise in areas such as propensity, attribution, or segmentation modeling.

• Relevant experience in regulated or high-accuracy sectors such as legal, tax, financial services, or healthcare.

• Proven track record of delivering AI or automation capabilities adopted at scale.
