This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive AI risk and governance framework across CRG, ensuring alignment with Thermo Fisher's enterprise policies and regulatory standards.
• Convert regulatory and enterprise risk mandates into adaptable governance models, templates, and automated controls.
• Integrate compliance into model lifecycle tools, monitoring systems, auditing, and traceability frameworks.
• Ensure that AI solutions prioritize transparency, explainability, data privacy and security compliance, bias detection and mitigation, auditability, and traceability.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Privacy, InfoSec, and Quality teams to ensure alignment with global regulations and internal policies.
• Establish and implement risk tiers for AI use cases, including expedited paths, lightweight reviews, and formal governance processes.
• Function as an independent control entity within the Applied AI operational framework.
• Incorporate risk controls into readiness frameworks, workflow design, lifecycle stage gates, systems, and tools.
• Act as the main point of contact with Legal, Privacy, InfoSec, and Quality organizations.
• Create a scalable governance and risk framework for AI while minimizing compliance, quality, and reputational risks associated with AI.
• Assist in developing a unique external AI and workflow transformation offering.
• A bachelor's degree in business, computer science, digital strategy, or a related discipline is required.
• An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in digital, innovation, strategy, content/knowledge management, or customer-facing leadership roles within clinical research, healthcare, life sciences, or technology-enabled services.
• Capability to convey complex digital, data, and AI concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven experience in creating customer-facing content for bids, proposals, value demonstrations, and executive presentations.
• Strong executive presence during high-stakes customer and leadership meetings.
• Ability to influence results in complex organizational structures without formal authority.
• Strong strategic judgment and systems thinking abilities.
• Excellent executive communication skills, narrative clarity, and storytelling abilities.
• Robust skills in content architecture, knowledge management, editorial work, and governance, including taxonomy, versioning, reuse, and quality control.
• Experience managing stakeholders across Digital, Commercial, Operations, Marketing, and Executive leadership.
• Comfort working in ambiguous and high-pressure situations with emotional intelligence and discretion.
• Competence in managing and scaling tasks through partners and vendors.
• Ability to communicate, receive, and comprehend information and ideas with a diverse range of groups.
• Proficient in using and learning standard office technology and equipment.
• Ability to thrive under pressure while prioritizing and managing multiple projects or activities.
• May require occasional travel of 0–20%.
