This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of client engagements from start to finish, acting as the primary strategic and research contact for your accounts, with senior strategy support provided for complex projects.
• Function as a trusted digital consultant to senior stakeholders, balancing a broad vision with practical, results-oriented recommendations.
• Steer clients towards assured decision-making, particularly in situations where the way forward is uncertain or complicated.
• Serve as both a visual and verbal storyteller, conveying insights with clarity, empathy, and strategic depth.
• Contribute to business development efforts by infusing research credibility and methodology into pitch narratives, proposals, and strategic frameworks, while also providing subject-matter expertise during presentations.
• Plan, design, and implement user research programs, including stakeholder interviews, user interviews, usability testing, surveys, and synthesis — from screener creation to final findings.
• Lead and facilitate discovery activities, such as audience research, competitive analysis, and opportunity assessments, ensuring research rigor remains a consistent thread throughout.
• Convert research findings into clear and compelling strategic directions that clients and cross-functional teams can effectively act upon.
• Generate actionable strategic deliverables, including roadmaps, personas, user journeys, value propositions, information architecture, and experience direction, all grounded in research insights.
• Establish strategies for websites, digital products, and experiences that align customer needs with business objectives and technological capabilities.
• Create impactful presentations and strategic deliverables that motivate clients and provide cross-functional teams with clear guidance.
• Collaborate closely with designers, creatives, technologists, and content strategists to ensure research informs and remains connected to design and development decisions.
• Advocate for the importance of research within IS and with clients, helping teams and stakeholders recognize the possibilities enabled by quality research.
• 7–10+ years of experience in UX research, digital strategy, experience design, consulting, or a related discipline; experience in a digital agency is preferred.
• Practical experience in planning and executing user research — including interviews, usability testing, surveys, and synthesis — rather than merely directing or interpreting the research of others.
• Strong comprehension of websites, UX design, information architecture, and product strategy.
• Experience utilizing AI and emerging tools to foster digital growth and impact.
• Exceptional strategic thinking coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Outstanding storytelling, presentation, and communication skills (both visual and verbal).
