Senior DevOps – Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkey.

📋 Description

• CI/CD & Deployments: Design, implement, and enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.

• Infrastructure Management: Build and sustain scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure across cloud, on-premise, or hybrid environments.

• Orchestration & IaC: Oversee Kubernetes-based platforms, manage containerized workloads, and advance infrastructure automation utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

• Observability: Establish and upgrade logging, monitoring, alerting, and overall observability practices across all platforms.

• Reliability & Performance: Monitor system health, resolve production issues, enhance platform reliability, and contribute to initiatives aimed at availability and operational enhancement.

• Collaboration: Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and engineering teams to facilitate scalable application deployments, ensure compliant platform operations, and support incident response and root cause analysis.

⛳️ Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, MIS, or related disciplines.

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years in roles such as DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), or similar positions.

• Containers: Profound hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments.

• CI/CD Stack: Familiarity with tools like ArgoCD, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar.

• Infrastructure as Code: Proficient in IaC tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, or similar.

• Cloud & OS: Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), along with a solid grasp of Linux systems, networking, HTTP, TLS, REST APIs, and distributed systems.

• Data & Messaging: Experience with relational databases and messaging systems (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, Kafka, or RabbitMQ).

• Skills & Language: Strong problem-solving abilities, ownership mentality, communication, and collaboration skills with a proficient command of English.

• Experience in fintech, banking, payment systems, retail technology, telecom, or high-traffic digital platforms.

• Familiarity with both cloud and on-premise infrastructure.

• Knowledge of security, compliance, and infrastructure hardening practices.

• Experience with Java, Node.js, or microservice-based architectures.

• Knowledge of SRE practices, SLIs/SLOs, incident management, and capacity planning.
