Senior DevOps Engineer, Cloud Delivery

📋 Description

• Take ownership and advance the AWS infrastructure supporting NetBox Cloud, including EKS clusters, VPC architecture, IAM, RDS, and related services.

• Lead infrastructure initiatives from conceptualization to execution, breaking down work into well-defined milestones and assigning tasks within the team.

• Collaborate with Product teams to ensure successful and scalable customer launches.

• Enhance deployment automation and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), prioritizing reliability, speed, and developer self-service.

• Proactively identify and mitigate technical debt to prevent potential reliability or security issues.

• Establish and take responsibility for SLOs for the systems you manage; minimize repetitive tasks through automation.

• Play a role in achieving SOC 2 compliance, implementing security controls, and overseeing IAM governance.

• Engage in the on-call rotation for the platform.

• Guide engineers through code reviews, collaborative programming, and design discussions.

• Participate in the on-call rotation and lead the incident response process from start to finish, including conducting postmortems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles.

• More than 3 years of experience in a B2B SaaS environment.

• Extensive AWS expertise, particularly in EKS/Kubernetes, VPC, IAM, RDS, and cost management.

• Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Helm.

• Solid experience with CI/CD processes, ideally using GitHub Actions.

• Skilled in Python and Go, along with shell scripting capabilities.

• Proven ability to scope and execute complex infrastructure projects in a team setting.

• Excellent communication skills: capable of crafting clear design documents and participating effectively in architecture discussions.

• Experience in security and compliance within a production environment (SOC 2, IAM governance).

• Familiarity with AI tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude) integrated into daily engineering practices.

• Knowledge of observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, and OpenTelemetry.
