This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure within AWS.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines to facilitate efficient software delivery.
• Deploy, manage, and optimize Kubernetes clusters for scalability and high availability.
• Develop and maintain Helm charts for deploying containerized applications.
• Manage and provide support for production Kafka environments.
• Collaborate with development teams to enhance application reliability, security, and performance.
• Work alongside security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor system health and performance, identifying areas for optimization.
• Automate the processes for infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
• Lead technical initiatives, recommending improvements and enhancements to the platform architecture.
• Define and implement Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs).
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues, conducting root cause analysis.
• Assess and implement emerging technologies that enhance operational efficiency and platform reliability.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Over 5 years of experience in supporting and troubleshooting enterprise IT environments.
• Strong practical experience with AWS services including EC2, EKS, ECS, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Route53, KMS, and Secrets Manager.
• Experience in deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters within production settings.
• Proficient in creating and maintaining Helm charts.
• Experience in supporting and administering Kafka clusters.
• Recent hands-on experience using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience in building and supporting CI/CD pipelines in production environments.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Experience working within Agile software development teams.
• Strong skills in Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Ability to create and maintain clear technical documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and root cause analysis capabilities.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• AWS or related cloud certifications are highly desirable.
• A strong desire to continually learn and expand technical expertise.
