Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and manage cloud infrastructure and platform services within Azure; strategize and implement migration patterns to AWS.

• Take ownership of CI/CD and environment automation (build, test, deploy, release) to facilitate safe and repeatable delivery.

• Develop and enhance observability (metrics, logs, traces, alerting) to boost reliability, performance, and incident response.

• Diagnose and resolve production issues spanning cloud, networking, CI/CD, and platform services; participate in on-call/incident practices.

• Collaborate cross-functionally (application, data, platform) during sprint ceremonies to establish standards and enhance delivery practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Platform Engineering roles supporting production systems.

• Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure cloud services, encompassing compute, networking, storage, IAM (Identity and Access Management), and monitoring.

• Practical experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or demonstrated capability to design for multi-cloud portability and future migration.

• Extensive knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, preferably using Terraform (experience with ARM/Bicep or CloudFormation is advantageous).

• Experience in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation for contemporary applications or data workflows.

• Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker; Kubernetes on AKS/EKS).

• Experience in implementing observability (monitoring, logging, alerting) and contributing to incident response for distributed systems.

• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex production issues across infrastructure, deployments, and application layers, and collaborate with engineering, data, and security teams.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a combination of equivalent education and experience. A Bachelor’s degree in computer science is preferred. 5 - 7 years of relevant experience.
