Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and sustain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS/GCP.

• Collaborate with a five-member R&D team to enhance CI/CD pipelines and minimize build times.

• Enhance the code deployment process.

• Partner with developers to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

• Optimize configurations for Ruby/Rails environments.

• Boost overall system reliability.

• Develop, monitor, and refine infrastructure for emerging AI capabilities.

• Assist in running, fine-tuning, and querying AI systems.

• Implement and oversee logging, alerting, and monitoring tools.

• Ensure high uptime and prompt incident response.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4+ years of practical experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) roles.

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud infrastructure management.

• Experience with GCP is advantageous.

• Extensive knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Strong proficiency with Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, ECS, or similar.

• Proven experience in configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting Ruby on Rails applications.

• Familiarity with Bundler, Puma/Passenger, and memory management.

• A solid understanding of modern software engineering principles is a plus.

• AI/ML infrastructure experience is a plus.

• Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Milvus, or pgvector is a plus.

• Experience managing API integrations with major LLM providers is a plus.

• Experience handling local model deployments and GPU scaling is a plus.
