Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS/GCP.

• Collaborate with a 5-engineer R&D team to enhance CI/CD pipelines and minimize build times.

• Facilitate seamless code deployment processes.

• Work alongside developers to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

• Optimize configurations within Ruby/Rails environments.

• Enhance overall system reliability.

• Partner with developers to construct, monitor, and refine infrastructure for emerging AI capabilities.

• Implement and oversee logging, alerting, and monitoring tools.

• Ensure high uptime and prompt incident response.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) roles.

• Strong practical experience with AWS services and cloud infrastructure management.

• Experience with GCP is advantageous.

• In-depth proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Extensive knowledge of Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, ECS, or equivalents.

• Demonstrated experience in configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting Ruby on Rails applications.

• Familiarity with Bundler, Puma/Passenger, and memory management.

• A solid grasp of modern software engineering principles is a plus.

• Experience with AI/ML infrastructure is a plus, including vector databases, LLM API integrations, local model deployments, and GPU scaling.
