This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design, develop, and sustain Kubernetes-based infrastructure and cloud environments.
• Take ownership of the platform utilized by our development teams, ensuring it remains reliable, scalable, and secure.
• Construct and enhance CI/CD pipelines that facilitate swift, safe, and repeatable deployments.
• Automate all processes from build to production; manual interventions should be exceptions rather than the norm.
• Utilize AI coding tools and agentic workflows as integral components of your role to expedite infrastructure automation, pipeline development, and operational problem resolution.
• Define and manage infrastructure using Terraform and pertinent Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Guarantee that environments are reproducible, version-controlled, and auditable.
• Implement and oversee monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
• Ensure visibility into system health and drive reliability enhancements through data analysis rather than assumptions.
• Integrate security practices into both infrastructure and pipelines.
• Support compliance requirements related to healthcare data across various jurisdictions.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to alleviate obstacles in the delivery process.
• Work in partnership with external infrastructure providers to plan, coordinate, and execute platform initiatives.
• Clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven proficiency with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code) and agentic workflows.
• Over 7 years of industry experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or infrastructure-related roles.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, troubleshooting, and cluster management).
• Strong expertise in Terraform or comparable Infrastructure as Code tooling.
• Experience in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar).
• Proficient scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, or Go).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP acceptable).
• Solid understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, and container security.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Git-based version control systems.
• Nice to have: Experience with agentic orchestration, harness engineering, or automated development pipelines.
• Background in healthcare, EMR, or regulated environments (PHIPA/PIPEDA).
• Familiarity with service mesh, GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux), or platform engineering patterns.
