Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Sustain and improve the Continuous Integration environment.

• Maintain and enhance the internal IT infrastructure of the company.

• Engage in hands-on development and troubleshooting of essential components of the exchange platform.

• Investigate and resolve incidents effectively.

• Design and uphold a highly reliable and secure production environment, including logging, monitoring, and analytics.

• Participate in audits and vendor risk assessments.

• Coordinate and take part in penetration tests and disaster recovery exercises.

• Share responsibilities in an on-call rotation to provide production support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Current knowledge in areas such as networking, relational databases, and security.

• Strong understanding of contemporary software development practices (version control, continuous integration/delivery, acceptance testing, etc.).

• Extensive hands-on experience in software development and operations.

• Upper-intermediate proficiency in English.

• Excellent coordination skills; involved in organizing test activities among stakeholders, partners, contractors, and vendors.

• Awareness of operational and security requirements associated with working in a regulated financial environment.

• Preferred: Familiarity with blockchain principles.

• Technical expertise in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Unix/Linux-based environments, ideally within a financial services context.

• Knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, load balancers, and proxy configurations.

• Experience with key management, HSMs, PKI, TLS, VPNs, SGX, single sign-on, mobile device management, and penetration testing.

• Proficient in database administration.

• Automated management of secure, stable, testing, and production environments.

• Developing test plans, coordinating test activities, and executing tests (acceptance, performance, load, security).

• Configuring and managing message brokers.

• Monitoring using tools such as ELK, Datadog, Graphite/Grafana, etc.

• Scripting skills in Python and shell.

• Building, packaging, distributing, deploying, tuning, and monitoring JVM-based application stacks.

• Experience in incident management and response.

• Familiarity with the Atlassian toolset (Jira, Service Desk, etc.).

• Knowledge of virtualization and containerization technologies (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes).

• Experience with one or more blockchain technologies.

• Preferred: Experience with Azure.

• Proficient in SQL and Oracle.

• Experience with the Blockchain Corda platform.
