Senior DevOps Engineer

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage scalable and flexible cloud architectures for multi-tenant SaaS platforms.

• Continuously assess and enhance existing infrastructure and architectural choices to eliminate performance, scalability, and operational bottlenecks.

• Create and sustain cloud-native and hybrid solutions, integrating cloud platforms with on-premises systems as necessary.

• Construct, maintain, and refine CI/CD pipelines that facilitate rapid, secure, and consistent deployments.

• Advocate for and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices utilizing Terraform.

• Automate provisioning, configuration, scaling, and recovery processes to minimize manual operational tasks.

• Collaborate with SRE teams to enhance deployment strategies, boosting reliability and predictability.

• Design and manage containerized platforms using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Support and develop microservices architectures, ensuring safe deployment, isolation, and scalability.

• Manage and support production and pre-production environments while troubleshooting intricate infrastructure problems.

• Engage in incident response and on-call rotations as necessary, working alongside SREs to lessen operational burdens.

• Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation for infrastructure, pipelines, and operational processes.

• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to enhance developer experience, delivery speed, and platform reliability.

• Assist with additional tasks or projects as assigned to fulfill team and business objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, or Senior Software Engineer with infrastructure responsibilities.

• Strong practical experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, with AWS or GCP also acceptable.

• Demonstrated experience with Kubernetes, preferably AKS, Docker, Terraform, CI/CD systems such as Jenkins and Groovy pipelines, Linux-based systems, and configuration management tools like Ansible.

• Proficient scripting and automation skills using Python and/or Bash.

• Solid grasp of distributed systems and cloud networking principles.

• Comfortable utilizing Git-based workflows such as Bitbucket.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English for effective collaboration with distributed teams.

• Experience in operating or supporting multi-tenant SaaS platforms is advantageous.

• Previous collaboration with SRE teams and familiarity with reliability practices would be beneficial.

• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Datadog, or ELK would be useful.

• Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud environments or on-premises integrations would be considered a plus.

• A background in software engineering with experience overseeing systems from end to end would be highly regarded.
