This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +34 more states.
• Take ownership and oversee the Hospice AWS infrastructure utilizing Terraform (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Backup).
• Create, develop, and sustain CI/CD pipelines for .NET applications as they transition from legacy deployment methods.
• Implement the cloud cost optimization strategy, which includes right-sizing, Savings Plans, and storage tiering.
• Strategically plan and direct the migration of workloads from EC2 to modern architectures (EKS, Lambda, Step Functions).
• Establish and uphold monitoring, alerting, and observability practices using tools like Datadog and CloudWatch.
• Ensure compliance with HITRUST E1 standards and enforce security best practices throughout all environments.
• Provide mentorship and enhance the skills of the Hospice application team in AWS operations and contemporary SDLC methodologies.
• Work collaboratively with the DBA team on migrating SQL Server from EC2 to RDS.
• Oversee production patching, backup/disaster recovery, and incident response for the Hospice platform.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Extensive knowledge of AWS services (EC2, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation/Terraform).
• Proficient in Terraform (modules, state management, CI/CD integration).
• Experience in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).
• Experience using monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, CloudWatch, or similar).
• Strong scripting abilities (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience in regulated environments (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC2).
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Windows Server and .NET application deployments.
• Background in migrating legacy on-premises workloads to AWS.
• Experience in SQL Server administration or migration to RDS.
• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
• Experience in mentoring or leading small teams.
