Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Oversee the care, maintenance, and enhancement of Frontify's system infrastructure.

• Collaborate closely with the R&D team to explore and pinpoint the underlying causes of infrastructure problems.

• Address daily infrastructure requirements and serve as the primary contact for technical facets of our platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps, Platform, or Systems Engineer role, preferably within the SaaS industry.

• Proficient with web servers (Nginx), relational databases (such as MySQL, including replication and performance optimization), and Linux (Amazon Linux/CentOS/RedHat).

• Familiarity and practical experience with Docker containerization, including orchestration and management (for instance, Kubernetes or AWS ECS).

• Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Cloudfront, or OpenSearch).

• Previous work with Terraform, enabling you to create infrastructure as code for scalable environments.

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines with implemented automated build and deployment workflows.

• Knowledge of Puppet configuration management is a plus.

• Experience collaborating with Developer Support and Deployment Support teams.

• An IT generalist who is at ease with shaping and defining the role alongside us.

• Strong grasp of monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Datadog or Grafana).

• Experience applying SRE principles, including SLOs and error budgets.

• Involvement in incident management processes, including conducting postmortems and fostering improvements.

• Solid understanding of security best practices in cloud and DevOps environments, encompassing identity and access management (IAM), data protection, secrets management, and compliance aspects (such as ISO, GDPR).

• Comfortable operating in a dynamic, distributed team environment.

• Fluent in English.
