Senior DevOps Engineer

📋 Description

• Create, implement, and sustain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks to automate the deployment of voice technologies.

• Manage and operate automation pipelines and infrastructure in a distributed, production-level environment.

• Lead the adoption of IaC and DevOps best practices, ensuring systems are dependable, scalable, and secure.

• Propel initiatives aimed at modernizing and enhancing voice platform automation.

• Examine recurring network or platform issues and introduce automation measures to mitigate operational risks.

• Provide comprehensive documentation and handoffs to operational teams to facilitate seamless support and transition.

• Offer technical guidance and assistance to operational and engineering teams as necessary.

• Foster a collaborative, agile work environment that aligns with continuous delivery and DevOps principles.

• Advocate for an exceptional customer experience by developing reliable systems that underpin Five9's voice infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in engineering roles with a focus on DevOps, operations, or infrastructure, ideally within telecommunications or service provider settings.

• Demonstrated hands-on experience with automation frameworks like Ansible and Terraform, including the creation and maintenance of reusable modules.

• Strong understanding of AWS and GCP services, with a background in developing and deploying cloud-native infrastructure components.

• Proficient in Unix/Linux systems, with an emphasis on CLI-based administration and shell scripting.

• Experience in designing and integrating RESTful APIs and web service workflows.

• Robust background in CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitLab, GitHub Actions, or analogous platforms.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; capable of working effectively in distributed, cross-functional teams.
