This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop highly interactive, single-page applications using React that can accommodate increasing complexity and user volume.
• Design, implement, and sustain large-scale deployments, focusing on infrastructure, reliability, and scalability; continuously iterate and optimize for ongoing enhancements.
• Oversee always-available infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and platform tools to minimize downtime and enhance service and system manageability.
• Collaborate with Software Engineering teams to design and build infrastructure and automated deployment processes for cloud-native SaaS applications.
• Investigate and incorporate new technologies and innovative solutions to perpetually improve platform functionality and performance.
• Work alongside peers on product development to define and execute the company’s strategy while addressing critical technical challenges.
• You have substantial hands-on experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), with a minimum of 5 years in software engineering and DevOps.
• You possess proven expertise in managing intricate infrastructure for high-scale, cloud-based systems.
• You excel in a fast-paced, growth-oriented startup environment and can adapt to changing requirements.
• You have a comprehensive and up-to-date understanding of the technologies and frameworks used in developing robust cloud-native applications.
• You balance idealism and pragmatism, fostering innovative solutions while ensuring practical implementation.
• Cloud Platform Expertise: Extensive experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud. Mastery of at least one cloud provider is critical. Hands-on experience in managing cloud infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Containerization & Orchestration: In-depth knowledge and practical experience with containerization and clustering technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, HELM, and Istio.
• CI/CD & Workflow Automation: Solid proficiency in CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Ansible, Jenkins, BitBucket Pipelines, Azure DevOps, and serverless architectures. Proven ability to design and implement effective workflow automation.
• Streaming Technologies: Familiarity with streaming technologies like Kafka, Event Hubs, and RabbitMQ.
• Application Development Support: Experience in developing and supporting server-side rendered applications using Node.js and Python, considering full-stack aspects for containerized applications.
• Scripting: Expertise in UI scripting languages, including Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
• Monitoring & Reliability: Proficient in monitoring, logging, and observability tools, with an understanding of system reliability, troubleshooting, and incident response practices.
• Data Presentation & Analytics: Experience in data presentation and analytics is advantageous.
• Familiarity with generative AI (LLMs) and the capability to apply prompt engineering for DevOps automation (e.g., config generation, runbooks).
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to integrate traditional DevOps practices with next-gen AI technologies.
• Self-motivated and capable of working efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness and capability to rapidly learn new technologies and take on varied assignments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical training and experience.
