Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the architecture, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and deployment systems from prototype through to full production scale.

• Design and manage cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS, GCP, or Azure) to support scalable backend services, AI workloads, and mobile backend functionalities.

• Construct and enhance automated workflows for code integration, testing, model deployment (both on-device and cloud ML), security scanning, and release processes.

• Establish and uphold best practices including IaC, containerization, observability, monitoring/alerting, automated testing, and compliance.

• Collaborate on system design, release strategies, performance tuning, and prioritization efforts.

• Mentor prospective team members as we grow the engineering team and contribute to shaping the DevOps culture from the outset.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven professional experience in DevOps/SRE roles, focusing on building and managing scalable infrastructure for consumer mobile or web applications (experience with AI/ML, travel/location-based services, or high-traffic consumer experiences is advantageous).

• Advanced proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), IaC tools, and container orchestration technologies.

• Comprehensive understanding of CI/CD tools (such as GitHub Actions), scripting/automation, monitoring/observability frameworks, and security measures.

• Hands-on experience in supporting AI/ML workflows.

• Demonstrated success in establishing 0-to-1 DevOps setups or spearheading significant infrastructure projects, with the ability to make foundational decisions autonomously.

• Strong sense of product and operations: emphasis on reliability, low-latency performance, cost-effectiveness, security-by-design, and prompt recovery in consumer-facing systems.

• Outstanding collaboration and communication abilities, capable of articulating trade-offs clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
