This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Implement best practices for version control, ensuring that all application code, system configurations, and infrastructure code are properly stored in repositories.
• Develop automation for deployment pertaining to infrastructure, applications, and security changes using contemporary scripting tools.
• Construct and oversee Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines to guarantee prompt feedback on code modifications.
• Employ trunk-based development methodologies to uphold brief-lived branches and efficient workflows.
• Design and maintain test automation suites for infrastructure and security functionalities.
• Assist in test data management by collaborating with security, data science, and software development teams to enhance automated testing environments.
• Integrate security automation within DevOps pipelines, working alongside InfoSec teams to apply pre-approved security libraries and tools.
• Clearly convey technical concepts to both internal and external teams.
• Participate in Agile team planning and the execution of DevOps initiatives.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps, automation, or cloud engineering.
• Proficiency in contemporary programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, Node.js, and C#.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, CircleCI, or TravisCI.
• Command-line proficiency with Bash or PowerShell for managing operating systems, including skills in package management, service configuration, logging, process/resource monitoring, and network configuration.
• Practical experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and Packer.
• Familiarity with deploying and securing infrastructure on AWS or Azure.
• Experience in creating, deploying, and orchestrating code changes using tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, and Elastic Container Service.
• Relevant professional experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Azure, demonstrating skills in network and access security and the code-based deployment of modern web and data applications along with their underlying infrastructure.
• Understanding of DORA metrics and best practices for continuous delivery.
