This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Assist in the ongoing operations and maintenance of the ODHS/ODDS eXPRS application.
• Identify and address application bugs.
• Fulfill operational, enhancement, performance, maintenance, refactoring, user interface, data, and reporting requests in the eXPRS ADOS backlog.
• Develop and implement updates, software code changes, and documentation for the eXPRS application.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of completed enhancements and overall system documentation.
• Process defect and change requests that involve code modifications.
• Collaborate with system and business experts and participate in daily Scrum meetings.
• Work alongside the ODHS business product owner to comprehend functional requirements and timelines.
• Document potential solution options, affected system areas, dependencies, and capability gaps.
• Collaborate with the ODHS project technical architect to understand technical standards and create technical design documentation.
• Review effort levels and timelines with the OIS technical manager and technical lead.
• Ensure transparency regarding work performed and required deliverables.
• Generate sprint status reports.
• Adhere to Azure DevOps (ADOS), issue-tracking, Agile Scrum, requirements management, design, development, and coding standards.
• Participate in daily and weekly sprint planning and review meetings with SDD and BSU eXPRS teams.
• Provide guidance on incremental requirements definition and delivery.
• Demonstrate requirements through functional prototypes and gather stakeholder feedback.
• Deliver technical specifications that encompass database, interface program, batch program, application module, and use case changes.
• Transition concepts and enhancements to existing team members for continued support.
• Over 10 years of experience with J2EE.
• More than 10 years of experience with IBM DB2 UDB.
• At least 10 years of experience with Java.
• Over 10 years of experience with Eclipse.
• Previous state government experience within the last five years.
• 1–3 years of experience in eXPRS Application Development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies, standards, coding best practices, and general debugging procedures.
• Experience with SQL Server and Oracle databases.
• Familiarity with SQL, PL/SQL, or T-SQL.
• Understanding of .NET languages, HTML, and web architecture.
• Must reside in the United States of America.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or possess a valid U.S. visa/authorization to work in the USA.
• Consistent access to high-speed internet, cellular or landline phone, web camera, and microphone.
• Availability during Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, as agreed with management.
• Approval for remote work.
• Remote onboarding on the first day.
• Potential telecommuting by agreement with the Agency Authorized Representative.
• Access to Agency systems through VPN or similar software.
• Work-from-home flexibility, provided the employee has their own adequate computer, monitor(s), internet connection, and phone.
• Standard schedule from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, with exceptions for Oregon holidays and business closures.
