Senior Database Engineer – Secret Clearance Eligible

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Conduct data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to ensure legacy data aligns with the requirements of target systems.

• Modify and enhance SQL queries provided by the government to comply with size restrictions and formatting standards.

• Set up, test, and execute SQL/JDBC queries from ServiceNow for data importation into development, test, production, and sandbox environments.

• Confirm successful data imports, analyze outcomes against system specifications, and pinpoint any mapping discrepancies or transformation challenges.

• Generate and oversee transform maps to facilitate data loading into target tables within ServiceNow.

• Carry out XML export/import transformations and manage Excel data files for organized data imports.

• Sustain reports and controls to monitor successful transformations, exceptions, and metrics related to data integrity.

• Collaborate with project teams to review progress, address technical obstacles, and strategize overall data migration.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in database engineering, data migration, or related disciplines.

• Strong expertise in SQL and familiarity with JDBC connections.

• Experience with ServiceNow data imports, transform maps, and database integration techniques.

• Capability to evaluate table structures, data relationships, and manage extensive datasets efficiently.

• Proficient in ETL processes, data validation, and transformation logic.

• Background in configuring interfaces and overseeing security settings concerning data access.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related area.

• Eligibility to obtain a DoD Secret clearance is required.
