• The Senior Database Administrator (DBA) is tasked with leading the analysis, design, implementation, testing, and support of enterprise database and reporting solutions utilizing Business Process Management Suite (BPMS) technologies.
• This position plays a key role in developing business reports, interactive dashboards, process models, and data integration solutions while ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
• The Senior DBA will collaborate closely with end users, stakeholders, and DOL SMEs to guarantee that reporting functionality and BI applications align with business needs and operational goals.
• The responsibilities also encompass database administration, ETL development, planning for data migration, system integration, performance optimization, and support for large-scale enterprise data environments.
• A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in application development and database administration.
• Extensive experience with ETL data transfer methodologies and enterprise reporting frameworks.
• Proven proficiency with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), covering architecture, models, patterns, and solution development.
• At least 10 years of experience working with Oracle back-end databases, specifically Oracle 19c or later versions.
• Strong command of SQL programming, ETL tools, database design, normalization, and performance tuning.
• Experience with system integration and enterprise solution architecture.
• Practical experience with:
• Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP)
• DB Connect calls
• VPN tunnels
• Database Web Services
• ODI configuration and administration
• Experience in configuring firewall rules, ports, and secure data transfer protocols.
• A demonstrated understanding of project management methodologies including:
• SDLC
• Agile
• Scrum
• Experience in implementing data repository solutions and supporting large-scale database environments.
• Experience managing datasets that contain millions to billions of records and multi-terabyte storage environments.
• At least 7 years of experience supporting government Grant Program business processes.
