📋 Description

• Take charge of Database Reliability: Implement strategies for high availability and disaster recovery.

• Architect for Growth: Develop and execute a roadmap for scalability.

• Enhance Performance: Conduct thorough query optimization and analyze execution plans.

• Infrastructure Design: Create and oversee scalable inference and connection pooling methods.

• Observability Implementation: Design the monitoring framework and set SLIs/SLOs to ensure database health.

• Security Advocacy: Enforce banking-grade security protocols.

• Cross-Engineering Collaboration: Partner with product teams to guarantee that database schema modifications accommodate a high-load environment.

• Lead by Example: Establish the technical standards for the DBA function through mentorship and the definition of best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA in high-load, production settings (preferably within Fintech or critical systems).

• Advanced PostgreSQL Knowledge: In-depth understanding of index design (B-tree, GIN, GiST, BRIN), partitioning, and vacuum optimization.

• HA/DR Expertise: Demonstrated experience in designing streaming replication, clustering, and automated backup validation.

• Cloud Proficiency: Practical experience with cloud-managed PostgreSQL (especially on GCP) and Linux system administration.

• Automation Focus: Skilled in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD processes (GitLab, ArgoCD).

• Strong SQL Proficiency: Expertise in complex queries, stored procedures, and functions.

• Observability Experience: Background in building monitoring and alerting systems for databases (Prometheus/Grafana).

• Proficient in English.
