Senior Data Solutions Architect – AWS, Python, Snowflake

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the lifecycle of data pipelines and storage systems within cloud environments, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and perform optimally.

• Collaborate closely with developers, partners, and leadership to deliver comprehensive data solutions and integrate best practices into everyday workflows.

• Develop software services and APIs utilizing Python frameworks to facilitate seamless and reliable data processing and deployment experiences.

• Utilize relevant data modeling methodologies (Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault) to address various challenges and enhance the stack for specific requirements.

• Engage with streaming data platforms such as Kafka or Kinesis and proprietary open-source technologies including Snowflake, Databricks, Vertica, Spark, and Airflow to empower teams through automation and ongoing improvement.

• Expected travel varies based on project needs (0-15%).

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in data architecture and engineering positions.

• Extensive experience in cloud environments with a strong emphasis on AWS, along with familiarity with Azure and GCP.

• Proficient in streaming platforms like Apache Kafka or AWS Kinesis.

• Experience with proprietary open-source platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Vertica, Apache Spark, and Apache Airflow.

• Strong programming abilities, including organizing Python-based projects and developing software services and APIs.

• Solid understanding of various data modeling methodologies, including Kimball dimensional modeling, Inmon enterprise data warehouse, and Data Vault 2.0.

• Capability to manage the complete lifecycle of data pipelines and storage systems.

• Experience in creating automated data processing and deployment solutions.

• Comfortable addressing complex challenges across different technologies.

• Exceptional collaborator, effectively working with developers, partners, and leadership.

• Proficient in articulating data modeling techniques, architectures, and technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

• Self-organized with the courage to take risks and the belief that teaching others enhances learning.

• Fluent in English (mandatory for communication with clients and leadership).
