
Senior Data Scientist, Trust – Inference

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and execute measurement and evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness of Trust defenses and identify areas for enhancement.
• Oversee the design and analysis of experiments and quasi-experiments in scenarios where traditional A/B testing may not be feasible.
• Create and refine statistical and Bayesian models that assess risk, estimate treatment impacts, and highlight measurement deficiencies.
• Offer causal interpretations of signals produced by machine learning systems.
• Derive insights regarding the efficacy of Trust defenses and convert them into strategic guidance for product roadmaps and policy decisions.
• Present leadership-ready research that includes thorough analysis, engaging data visualizations, and coherent narratives.
• Articulate methodological trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders across product, engineering, policy, and operations.
• Enhance and expand data science capabilities within the domain while contributing to the long-term vision of how scientific methods influence platform outcomes.
• Over 5 years of industry experience in a quantitative analysis position, holding a Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline, or a minimum of 2 years of experience with a PhD in relevant fields.
• Extensive knowledge in experimentation and causal inference methodologies.
• Strong understanding of Bayesian modeling, measurement techniques, uncertainty quantification, and decision-making processes.
• Demonstrated ability to design and manage experimentation programs in complex environments.
• Experience working collaboratively with and influencing cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in statistical programming and database management.
• Strong programming skills in SQL and either Python or R.
• Capability to convert intricate methodological findings into actionable insights and persuasive narratives.
• Excellent judgment in navigating uncertainty, defining problems, and driving impact through influence.
