Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the Data Science strategy for RC Capital and establish the groundwork for our underwriting and fraud detection systems.

• Create advanced models for lead qualification, anomaly detection, fraud prevention, and credit underwriting.

• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to incorporate risk signals and underwriting logic into customer-facing applications.

• Examine cross-platform revenue data to reveal insights that enhance underwriting models and product design.

• Develop systems for measuring impact and assessing model performance.

• Function with a strong sense of ownership in a dynamic environment, contributing to the long-term vision for financial products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of data science experience, preferably with a solid background in fintech, credit, lending, or payments.

• Extensive knowledge in fraud and/or underwriting.

• Highly analytical and technical; proficient in SQL and Python.

• Capability to build, deploy, and monitor models in a production environment.

• Familiarity with mobile apps or developer ecosystems, or a willingness to learn this domain.

• Ability to treat RevenueCat's balance sheet, product, and brand as if they were your own.

• Capacity to excel in uncertain situations and make decisions in low-information, high-stakes contexts.

• Ability to think systemically and identify opportunities for automation and scalable solutions.

• Recognize when a solution is sufficient; balance detail, speed, and ambition without losing focus on impact.
