This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Create and implement sophisticated analytics, machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to support mission objectives and client goals.
• Design and improve generative AI and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions utilizing large language models, embeddings, vector databases, retrieval strategies, prompt engineering methodologies, and cloud-based AI services.
• Utilize contemporary data and AI platforms to expedite solution deployment and operationalize machine learning capabilities.
• Conduct data acquisition, ETL processes, exploratory data analysis, data preparation, and validation using Python, SQL, and associated technologies.
• Employ statistical techniques, predictive modeling, machine learning, and time-series analysis to address intricate challenges.
• Develop, assess, evaluate, and monitor AI/ML solutions to ensure accuracy, reliability, scalability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and clients to collect requirements and convert business needs into technical solutions.
• Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Create and debug APIs, data services, and AI-enabled applications that are integrated with enterprise systems and cloud platforms.
• Participate in Git-based software development, conduct code reviews, and follow Agile methodologies and best practices in development.
• Generate technical documentation, presentation materials, implementation guidance, and knowledge transfer materials.
• Assess emerging technologies and enhance existing processes and solutions.
• Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and contribute to ongoing improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing data science, analytics, machine learning, or AI solutions.
• Proven experience leading technical tasks and contributing to complex projects.
• Strong expertise in Python and SQL.
• Experience in designing, developing, validating, and monitoring machine learning models.
• Familiarity with feature engineering, model evaluation, and performance enhancement.
• Knowledge of large language models, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering, retrieval techniques, and output evaluation.
• Experience in developing API-based solutions and integrating data, machine learning, and AI services into enterprise environments.
• Understanding of object-oriented structures and design.
• Experience with Git, code reviews, Agile workflows, and software development best practices.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to work independently, quickly learn new technologies, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
