Senior Data Science Engineer, Personalization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee comprehensive data science projects, encompassing the stages from problem identification and modeling to deployment in production and performance assessment.

• Create and execute statistical models and machine learning algorithms aimed at resolving intricate business issues and improving user engagement.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Analytics teams to incorporate scalable data science solutions into active production systems.

• Foster innovation in tailored game recommendations and webpage layout enhancements by testing new algorithms and data-driven strategies.

• Convert complex technical results into straightforward, actionable insights that enable stakeholders to make well-informed decisions.

• Deploy and sustain production-quality Python software.

• Guide junior data scientists, advocate for best practices, and enhance the team's technical standards and influence.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in data science, with substantial knowledge in machine learning and statistical modeling.

• High proficiency in Python, coupled with experience in data manipulation and visualization tools.

• Experience in deploying models within production settings and working closely with engineering teams.

• Demonstrated ability to decompose complex problems into scalable solutions and deliver high-quality outcomes in a dynamic environment.

• Excellent communication skills, with the capability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences and senior stakeholders.

• Practical experience in developing personalization algorithms and implementing them on content delivery or user-facing platforms.
