This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.
• Act as the principal architect and leader for data governance initiatives, creating standards, policies, and frameworks for a large-scale data integration project that consolidates up to 24 diverse sources into a single data cloud environment.
• Design, implement, and operationalize extensive data governance programs, encompassing data quality, stewardship, lineage, access control, and documentation that enable clients to manage and enhance their data assets autonomously.
• Work closely with technical project leads, business stakeholders, and customer teams to convert operational requirements into effective governance solutions, proactively addressing dependencies and fostering alignment.
• Establish and enforce governance standards for the entire project team, including both internal and client participants, ensuring consistency, transparency, and compliance throughout the program's lifecycle.
• Lead the development and maintenance of governance artifacts such as data dictionaries, stewardship models, KPI glossaries, and RACI matrices, promoting handover and long-term sustainability for the client.
• Engage actively in project reviews, offering constructive feedback and thoughtfully challenging risks or inefficiencies, enabling the team to pivot and achieve optimal results.
• Mentor and support team members in governance best practices, cultivating a collaborative and learning-focused culture that embodies OZ Digital’s values: Evolve Constantly, Focus on Outcomes, Succeed Together, Stay Positive, and Lead with Empathy.
• Assist with knowledge transfer, documentation, and training to ensure seamless adoption of governance processes by all stakeholders.
• Governance Expertise: 3–5 years of practical experience in developing within Databricks, along with relevant certifications. Proven capability to create, optimize, and troubleshoot production-grade ETL pipelines.
• Consulting Skills: Robust business acumen with the ability to comprehend operational requirements, translate them into governance deliverables, and convey the business implications of decisions.
• Self-Starter: Proven ability to take initiative, work autonomously, and drive projects forward in uncertain or evolving situations.
• Governance Standards: Experience in leading governance initiatives, establishing standards for teams, and collaborating with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Documentation: Proficiency in crafting governance documentation and frameworks, including data quality policies, stewardship models, and KPI definitions.
• Compliance and Control Mindset: Capability to offer valuable insights, question assumptions, and advocate for best practices rather than merely following directives.
• Databricks (Preferred): Familiarity with Databricks Unity Catalogue or similar data governance tools is a distinct advantage, though not mandatory.
• Clear Communication: Proactive and constructive communication abilities with the confidence to provide feedback, challenge assumptions, and advocate for best practices.
