Senior Data Engineer – Financial Transactions, Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design event-driven data pipelines (Kafka) and create new data models that maintain transactional integrity (ACID) for commercial events such as invoices, payments, and adjustments.

• Streamline scalable ETL processes and enhance next-generation data architectures to boost quality, security, and coverage in response to rapidly evolving business needs.

• Work collaboratively across teams to translate business processes into self-monitoring systems, troubleshooting complex issues to ensure the dependability of financial operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience); a Master's degree is preferred.

• Over 10 years of industry experience in delivering scalable financial services.

• Proficient in developing scalable REST APIs supported by PostgreSQL, along with expertise in Python, Golang, Scala, or NodeJS.

• Practical experience in architecting resilient ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks and dbt for managing extensive Delta Lake or Apache Iceberg tables.

• Comprehensive knowledge of high-scale distributed systems, Linux, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), utilizing container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
