This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the execution of Databricks lakehouse initiatives across bronze, silver, and gold layers, emphasizing maintainable Lakeflow-driven pipelines and high-quality curated outputs.

• Take ownership of the implementation of common data models, conformed dimensions, fact design, and reusable gold datasets for purposes such as reporting, forecasting, and AI/BI utilization.

• Design and construct scalable data models for various domains including SAP, manufacturing, finance, sales, supply chain, and operations.

• Collaborate on the onboarding of sources and ensure that new data is transformed into governed medallion outputs suitable for analytics and AI applications.

• Establish data quality checks, reconciliation logic, documentation practices, and performance optimization across structured data assets.

• Provide technical leadership for managing the engineering backlog, ensuring code quality, testing discipline, and adherence to repeatable delivery standards within Databricks.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in data engineering, demonstrating strong ownership of Databricks, data modeling, and production data pipelines.

• Extensive expertise in Spark, SQL, Python, medallion architecture, and the design of dimensional or conformed data models.

• Proven experience with SAP or similar ERP data and complex areas such as manufacturing, finance, supply chain, or commercial sectors.

• Experience in creating governed curated datasets for business intelligence, forecasting, and AI enablement.

• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT patterns, source-to-target mapping, data quality assurance, and performance optimization.

• Familiarity with Lakeflow, Fivetran-fed source patterns, Unity Catalog governance, and Power BI semantic usage is preferred.

• Experience supporting AI/BI readiness, ensuring trusted metrics, and delivering curated outputs for natural-language analytics is preferred.

• Exposure to observability, CI/CD practices, and testing frameworks within Databricks is preferred.
