Senior Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Construct and sustain data pipelines that drive analytics, machine learning workloads, and applications facing the product.

• Advance our data platform in collaboration with cloud platform engineers.

• Design and implement scalable data infrastructure.

• Create data services and APIs that provide reliable data to product applications.

• Take responsibility for data quality and observability.

• Collaborate with AI engineers, data scientists, analysts, and product teams.

• Maintain rigorous data privacy, security, and compliance standards.

• Develop and keep thorough documentation of data flows, models, and systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in building and delivering production-grade data systems.

• Proficient in SQL and familiar with Python or another object-oriented language (such as Java, Scala, etc.).

• Knowledge of cloud-native infrastructure (including Terraform and Kubernetes).

• Experience in designing data APIs or services.

• A thoughtful approach to data quality, privacy, and security.

• Strong skills in collaboration.

• Practical experience with data pipeline tools (like Airflow and dbt).

• A commitment to the continuous enhancement of product quality.

• A meticulous approach to creating and updating architecture and systems documentation.

• Capability to work cross-functionally to comprehend varying data needs.

• Exceptional analytical skills for diagnosing complex data issues.
